Prison Playbook

Another masterpiece from Shin Won Ho PD after Reply series. We know Reply 1997, 1994 and 1988 are such warm dramas which really attached into the heart of viewers. This Prison Playbook aka Wise Prison life is no different. It’s again a heartwarming drama, totally Shin PD style of drama we can never miss. I have watched like 3 times and still saying this is a healing drama for me.

A lot of important characters involved in this drama. Which pictured really well by the writer-nim, Jung Bo Hoon. Story about life in prison. The impression you’ll never imagine. Started with a successful and famous Baseball Player, Kim Jae Hyeok (Park Hae Soo) forced to be in jail because he’s murdered someone who’s trying to rape his sister. He meets different kind of prisoners with different backgrounds, wardens, correction officers, etc. Then, he must adapt to life in prison.

The Package

The Package. One of the best underrated dramas. The “tour” theme is different than any other typical Korean drama. Story about a group of tourists in a package tour to Paris. Lead by a Korean tour guide and every traveler who joins this tour has their own stories. That’s what make this drama interesting.

The storyline is not only focus on the main leads but also the other casts. The overall story is light but solid. My favorite story beside the leads: The tour guide, Yoon So So (Lee Yeon Hee) and one of the travelers, San Maroo (Jung Yong Hwa) is about Jung Yeon Sung (Ryu Seung Soo) and Na Hyeon (Park Yoo Na). A father and a daughter. I can cry watching their story. Being a single father with one teenager daughter is not easy and for their case is touching.

Reply 1988

Before writing this, I have already watched twice. Because it’s so warm and touching we can bingewatch many times. One of the best drama in K-drama history. With the background of Seoul in 1988, this drama for me succesfully caught viewers heart. The rating was really good for cable tv drama. And it’s viral. Congrats to Director Shin Won Ho and Writer Lee Woo Jung, proven as the good director and writer!

It’s Okay It’s Love

I really really love this drama. I like the casts, I love the story goes, I love how the chemistry between the main casts, I love the love line between the lead male-female. This is a very recommended drama.

At the beginning in every episode, you will see this statement above. Yes, This drama basically about the neuropsychiatry patients. Jae Yul (Jo In Sung), a very attractive man, writer and radio announcer and suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and schizophrenia. He can only sleep in the bathroom. He meets Hae Soo (Gong Hyo Jin), a psychiatric who suffers from sexual trauma. Both actually suffers the disorders bcos of their dark and traumatic pasts.

Jae Yul accidentally live the same house with Hae Soo of course, a cafe waiter with Tourette’s syndrome Park Soo Kwang (Lee Kwang Soo), and Hae Soo’s senior colleague Jo Dong Min (Sung Dong Il). Sung Dong Il again here. Acting no wonder must be good! Kwang Soo… so cute here. Hehe. Their friendship here is so good too I really love it.

Well actually, as viewer I am so amazed by how the writer and director make this drama. They make it so good plus the messages that they want to share is understandable though they bring up hard topic. I hope too see more k-drama like this.

Well, beside the so many kisses, touches and hugs between the main leads who live in the modern scene, I love how the love line and chemistry between them. I admit Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin are the best actors. You’ll be amazed too.

Well, Gong Hyo Jin fashion in this drama is my focus also! All outfits and accessories are so pretty in her. She’s such a goddess.

I can’t explain more about this drama cos every episodes has it’s charm. I like the background music, the OST. Cos to me, good music supports the viewers feels. We can really experience the situations in the drama, though the great background music.

After watching all 16 episodes, I can say that psychoneurotic patients still can live well with healthy people with good medication and well treatment. Of course with support from loved ones and good will from the patients themselves. No doubt. This is a very good and recommended. Will give high score for sure.

Here’s some caps from some episodes.
