My life’s been a series of impossibles. But impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion! Turning impossible into possible is tough. Sometimes you just have to face it head-on, which can often leave scars. But scars are signs of overcoming injuries!
Only one thing has the power to do that, and that’s love. That’s how I gifted her the trophy.
~Woo Yeon
-throwback to 2018- From the title, we already knew this would be a story about someone attending their ex-lover’s wedding. The first scene shows Woo Yeong (Kim Young Kwang) receiving a wedding invitation from his ex, Seung Hee (Park Bo Young). I wasn’t prepared for the unexpected ending, but since the actors are my favorites, I watched it anyway—and the story kept me hooked until the end.
This is a love story about Woo Yeon and Seung Hee. The movie is pure romance. Their love is beautiful but like a rollercoaster – they separate, reunite, and break up again. In the end, this story is about how their love has changed Woo Yeon’s life.
Because of Seung Hee, Woo Yeon, who used to be a rebellious high schooler, has become a better person. He’s now a sports teacher. I believe he’s still in love with Seung Hee, even though she has moved on. But he’s become much wiser than before, he’s truly changed.
I love the tone of this drama – the colors, the outfits, everything is so pretty. Not to mention the chemistry between the leads is amazing. The height difference between Kim Young Kwang and Park Bo Young adds such a cute touch to the film. It’s super cute, like, adorable.
The writer pays such great attention to the details of their love story – how teenage Woo Yeon experiences his first love, then they’re separated, meet again in university, and eventually become an adult couple facing all the challenges of life. It’s not only entertaining but also teaches us something valuable.
Now, after watching it three times, it still hurts to see Woo Yeon’s face as he watches Seung Hee walk down the aisle on her wedding day. TT
