CNBLUE is back everyone. This time they release rock genre. Yonghwa, as the composer of mostly songs in the album said that he wants to make songs that suitable for concerts. OMG, it’s been a while since the last time I came to their concert. Was it 2017 for Between Us tour. Though in early 2020 before this pandemic, I attended Yonghwa’s solo concert in Bangkok, but surely CNBLUE concert is different.
As fans, I really really love this rock genre album. The upbeat-song Love Cut as the title track is perfect choice. From the acoustic guitar to the bass play, and fast drum beats surely give us good vibes. With the Wild Wild West theme MV, it’s really catchy and different than CNBLUE’s comebacks before. This is the first time they act in the MV, without playing instruments.
I’ve been listening to some K-rnb and K-hiphop a lot lately. I usually a casual listener… but now I think I’m slowly getting attached to this genre! Especially in this pandemic era when I can have more time to find out about this music. I remember started not too long ago with pH-1 music and he brought me to GRAY and Loco.
Well actually Loco was featured on Jung Yong Hwa’s song That Girl (2017), but that time I didn’t really pay much attention, I just knew him as a good rapper and proud that Yonghwa my ult bias can make music with him.
Yonghwa can’t stop to amaze me with his hardwork. He just released his 1st Mandarin EP, STAY IN TOUCH, on his birthday today, June 22, 2021. To me it seems that Yonghwa wants explore his creativity and reaches more fans around the world, for now Chinese fans.
Contains 4 mandarin songs under Warner Music Taiwan, Yonghwa serves us with his powerful voice with the collaborations with top musicians, such as: R3HAB, JJ Lin, and Jam Hsiao. It has 1 remix, 2 cover and 1 new songs. Tough this mini album only releases digitally, but Yonghwa suceeds in giving us some comforts, the music we need especially during this pandemic.
FINALLY! Welcome back CNBLUE. After 3 years and 8 months, CNBLUE is back with 8th Mini Album, RE-CODE. 10 years together, I’m so glad they are still with us. Yonghwa, Minhyuk, Jungshin. Releasing the title track: Then, Now and Forever, CNBLUE present the alternative rock with mature sound.
First song after military discharge. You, Me, Us (Would you marry me?) is a song written & co-composed by Yonghwa. This song is featuring his best friends: Lee Joon, Yoon Doo Joon of Highlight and Kwang Hee. Four of them started their friendship since probably 10 years ago, when they were still rookies in the industry and until now it’s still going strong.
This is not their first collaboration as they were together for Infinite Challenge 4 years ago. Thanks to Kwanghee, he brought them to perform in that show for the mission as wedding singers. At that time Yonghwa was also taking part for the arrangement.
